10. LGBT Film Festival 2019 Gdańsk
Tomorrow, April 5, the jubilee edition of the LGBT Film Festival starts at Żak Club in Gdańsk.
LGBT Film Festival is the largest festival in Central and Eastern Europe presenting films about LGBT. During the festival you will have the opportunity to watch films selected from the programs of the largest and most prestigious film events, such as the Cannes, Venice and Berlin Film Festivals. Not only feature films will be shown. We will also see documents, short films, a whole range of film genres that unites one thing: they tell about everyday life, sensitivity, problems and victories.
And the festival program included films “A few conversations about a very tall girl” (a Romanian drama about the Internet knowledge of two girls), a Polish “Nina” (directed by Olga Chajdas), in which a marriage seeker looking for a surrogate finds the ideal candidate, a lesbian. Also sprinkled with awards, nominated for two statuettes (Queer Palm and Un Certain Regard) in Cannes drama “Rafiki” directed by Wanuri Kahiu. The film tells the story of the love of two Kenya, who must choose between a strong feeling and security. And finally the opening movie “Jose”, the title that beat “Favorite” in Venice.
Tolerado is a partner of the festival – we invite you to the ŻAK Club in Gdańsk.
